Environmental Responsibility

To minimise our environmental impact, Kelly’s Resort Hotel has invested in innovative energy solutions that significantly reduce energy consumption and improve operational efficiency.

Heat Pump Technology: We have introduced state-of-the-art heat pumps that efficiently reduce our overall heating consumption, ensuring a comfortable stay while conserving energy.
Energy-Efficient Condensing Boiler: Our condensing boiler operates at efficiencies greater than 100%, especially when there is a significant difference between flow and return temperatures. This system maximises heat output with minimal energy use, supporting our goal of sustainable energy management.
Variable Speed Pumps: We have installed variable speed pumps throughout the hotel, which automatically adjust based on demand. This improvement allows us to optimise pump speeds, enhancing energy efficiency while reducing unnecessary consumption.
Wireless Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs): Wireless TRVs installed on all bedroom radiators and in front-of-house areas provide precise temperature control, ensuring that we only use the heating necessary for guest comfort and significantly reducing our energy demand.
Air Handling Unit Upgrade in the Aqua Club: To further improve our energy efficiency, we upgraded the Air Handling Unit (AHU) in our Aqua Club. This eco-friendly system optimises ventilation and reduces energy usage, helping maintain a comfortable and sustainable environment.
Solar Panels for Laundry Heating: Solar panels provide a renewable energy source for heating in our laundry facilities. This addition supports our commitment to clean energy and significantly reduces the resources required for daily operations.

Sustainable Guest Experience

We have designed our guest experience to align with our sustainability values, offering eco-friendly amenities and activities that allow guests to participate in our sustainability journey.

- Field to Fork productions with Kelly’s Kitchen Gardens (Eco Conscious Cuisine). The vegetable garden project is part of the hotel’s overall environmental programme, promoting homegrown produce, which is less polluting, low energy and low-carbon. We are sowing our high added-value herbs, vegetables and flowers. Aesthetics are also a consideration – vegetable gardens make our gardens more beautiful and add another amenity for our guests to admire.
- Eco-Friendly Amenities: Our in-room amenities include reusable water bottles, biodegradable packaging, and eco-friendly toiletries, minimizing the environmental impact of our guest services.
- Green Activities: Our green activity options, including bike rentals and eco-tours, encourage guests to explore the natural surroundings in an environmentally conscious way.
- Mindful Dining: With locally sourced ingredients and seasonal menus at The Sea Rooms and La Marine Bistro, we offer dining experiences that are both sustainable and authentic.
- Composting all organic waste on site.
