The Sea Rooms at Kelly’s Resort Hotel enters an exciting new chapter this season with the launch of The Sea Rooms, Smokehouse. This refreshed concept places fire cooking, exceptional ingredients, and generous sharing plates at the heart of the dining experience, while maintaining the quality and warmth our guests value.
Our menus follow the rhythm of the seasons and are shaped by the ingredients around us. We use the finest Irish meat, fish, and vegetables, working closely with Kelly’s Kitchen Garden and trusted local suppliers to ensure freshness, provenance, and flavour in every dish. Each plate is cooked over fire on our custom-built Smokin’ Soul grill, bringing depth, character, and a natural smokiness that defines our new style of cooking. Sharing is central to the experience at The Sea Rooms, Smokehouse. Dishes are designed to be enjoyed together, encouraging relaxed, sociable dining built around wholesome, flavour led food rather than formality. The cooking is bold and satisfying, with an emphasis on quality produce treated with care and respect.
We are delighted to welcome David Harte as Head Chef, taking over from Chris Fullam. As Euro Toques Young Chef of the Year 2025, David brings outstanding experience and a deep commitment to local Irish ingredients. Supported by a talented kitchen team, he leads this new culinary direction with creativity, skill, and a passion for honest food cooked over fire. He is joined by Front of House Manager Agnes and her team, whose warmth, professionalism, and natural rapport with guests help create a dining room that feels both polished and at ease. Together, they lead a talented team who are bringing The Sea Rooms into an exciting new dimension in the world of food and hospitality.
The atmosphere remains polished yet comfortable, with friendly, knowledgeable staff who guide guests through the menu in a natural and engaging way. The Sea Rooms continues to be a place where great food and genuine hospitality come together in a relaxed coastal setting.
The Sea Rooms, Smokehouse is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch, with extended lunch service on Sundays, and Thursday to Saturday for dinner. Our previous tasting menu has been replaced by the new Chef’s Dinner Menu, a hand-picked selection of favourite dishes designed to be shared between two people, with an optional wine pairing curated by Bill Kelly. We are also pleased to continue offering our popular Train Lunch Special from Wednesday to Friday.

Take the early train from Dublin and arrive in Rosslare Strand at 12:30 pm – we will pick you up! Enjoy a delicious lunch using fresh produce from Kelly’s Kitchen Garden. Stroll the beach before the 6.00 pm return train.
