COLM BRENNAN - SCULPTURE
Colm Brennan was born in Belmullet, Co. Mayo and currently lives in Co. Wexford. He has been involved in sculpture since the early 1970s and is a founder member of the Sculptures’ Society of Ireland and Sculpture in context. In 1986 he established the CAST bronze foundry in Dublin with Leo Higgins. Colm’s sculpture, generally in bronze or combining bronze and stainless steel, travels twin paths of abstraction and naturalism. His work varies in size from large outdoor monumental sculpture to small studio pieces.
Colm has exhibited annually with the former Independent Artists and Oireachtas exhibitions and with Sculpture in Context, Royal Hibernian Academy, Boyle Arts Festival and the annual Wexford Opera Festival Exhibition.

JB VALLELY - ARTIST
JB Vallely is one of Ireland’s foremost painters. The artist gained notability from an early age, selling his first painting at the age of 17. He also had eight of his works purchased for the Irish display at the 1963 World Fair in New York and the Irish Times deemed him “one of the more exciting Irish painters”
A keen musician, JB Vallely founded the Armagh Pipers Club in 1966 and is today heavily involved with the Armagh Athletics Club. These pursuits are often portrayed in his works with fiddlers, pipers and football players making a regular appearance. Using palette knives and thick, energetic brushstrokes JB Vallely has the ability to create a lively atmosphere which symbolises the spirited characteristics of the subject matter.
With over forty solo exhibitions spanning his career to-date, the paintings of JB Vallely appear in the collections of major galleries and universities in over thirteen countries.
